My music.
Music is my passion .. I grew up with music and there was always music around me.

My Dad played the uke, my uncles played banjos, and I was singing natural harmony with family members before the first grade.

I began taking piano lessons at age 6, and continued until I was 17 and went off to college. I studied classical music and theory, with a music teacher from Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, MD.

Although my background was classical, my greatest love is for jazz ... jazz, in almost every form. Progressive jazz, smooth jazz, Dixieland jazz, modern jazz.  There's nothing quite like it.
I also have a love for the old "standards", as they were called.  George Gershwin, Sammy Cahn, Duke Ellington, Johnny Mercer ... the list is almost endless.

Growing up when "Rock 'N Roll" began, I still enjoy music from that era, and played professionally to help pay for some of my college. I still listen to Bill Haley and the Commets as they "Rock Around the Clock" or "Shake, Rattle and Roll"

In addition to Jazz, "rolk 'n roll", and classical music, I've been involved with Barbershop Quartets and choruses.  This unique form of music, like Dixieland jazz and other jazz forms, is truly American.

I'm happy to share whatever I can musically, so feel free to send a note if you're looking for a musical connection.

Stay in tune!
